For Arbitrary bases from 2 to 36, enter a base value and then enter another value to convert to or from the custom base. All values entered are also displayed as a signed base 10 number, based on the twos complement, that is sensitive to the bit depth of the entered value. For instance if the value is 8 bits or less, the negative value shown as an 8 bit twos compliment. The same is true for 16, 32, and 64 bit values.
