The Driver’s Guide is a vehicle-specific* Owners Handbook for selected BMW models**.
When using this system for the first time, you require an Internet connection. Once you have entered the vehicle identification number (VIN) the Owners Handbook that matches your vehicle is downloaded and is then also available without an internet connection. Within the Drivers Guide you can manage a number of vehicles.
Find out about the benefits of your vehicle with the complete Owners Handbook, a Picture Search or explanatory animations. The better you know the vehicle, the less effort you need when driving.
Depending on the specific vehicle, all or a selection of the following content is available to you:
- The complete Owners Handbook.
- Brief instructions.
- A search by topics.
- A search by pictures to find functions.
- Explanatory animations.
- Smart Scan. Obtain targeted information on individual operating elements with the help of the smartphone camera.
- Solutions depending on the situation, on the basis of quick links.

..... Das diese App nur geht wenn man eine Fahrzeugidentifikationsnummer hat. Als BMW Fan und e36 fahrer hätte ich mir schon gerne einmal ein Handbuch vom M5 oder anderen angeschaut.
App gut, kein Ton bei Animationen
Die App ist gut gelungen: Handbuch passend zum eigenen Fahrzeug immer dabei, Bilder, Verweise, Animationen. Hinweis für alle, die bei den Animationen keinen Ton über den Gerätelautsprecher hören: auf meinem iPhone 4s mit iOS 9.3.2 ist der Ton abgeschaltet, wenn der seitliche Schiebeschalter (der eigentlich für den Klingelton(!) zuständig ist) bei den Animationen auf Lautlos/Stumm steht. Das scheint ein Programmierfehler in der App zu sein.
