Description

With Checker-wise you can play international 10x10 checkers. Its most unique feature is an interface to the database of the games of the Dutch national checkers competition. A lot of attention has been paid to the graphics, with the aim to make it look beautiful, without any distracting bling-bling. All moves are animated. You can choose from 2 different sets of pieces. Checker-wise has VoiceOver integration, making it the only mobile checkers application which is fully accessible to blind users. PLAY Games can be either for 1 or 2 players, and either with or without a clock. Of course, all the standard features like swapping sides or rotating the board are available. The engine contains a strong opening book. ANALYZE Checker-wise contains a separate screen for analyzing positions. You can try out side variations and return to the main line with a simple double tap on the corresponding move in the move list. You can ask the engine for an evaluation. SETUP You can setup a position using an intuitive interface. REPLAY Look through the game you just played, and email the game notation, or copy it to the clipboard. TOURNAMENT BASE Checker-wise contains an interface to all of the games of the Dutch national checker competition. You can not only play through the games of the masters, but also analyse their games with the onboard engine, or take over the play from any position. And new games are added every week! EXERCISES Finally, there is a large collection of exercises which keeps track of which ones youve solved. Each of these features alone is worth the price of Checker-wise! And regular updates expand the possibilities of Checker-wise even more. Checker-wise is based on the Tjes engine (developed by me in 1996). Enjoy!

Franchement pas eu le temps de tout explorer. Un regret peut etre, je ne vois pas de niveaux de jeu, peut etre un peu dommage pour un joueur moyen comme moi: pas de progressivite: dans une future maj?

Je joue aux Dames avec dautres applis, pas de problèmes particuliers, mais alors là cest le pompon Je ne pige rien! Les pions vont dans tous les sens, impossible dannuler une partie. Etc. Pour moi cest 0/20 Jattends vos conseils

Hey, the program is nice but there are some small mistakes in the code. For example in the exercise no. 2 .. Backwards is on 10x10 international allowed. Also in the game against the comp. there are some ki problems with backwards jumping.. Best Regards

This 10x10 checkers is one of the few international out here but needs to be more challenging as it lacks difficult lvl for real pro but I will give the speed and exercise part 5star!!!!

При установке на ipad при нажатии переиграть не возможно завести имена игроков и реквизиты партии :-(

Very well done game and very accessible

Marcel is the first developer to make both checkers and chess accessible to blind players of either game on the iOS platform. JUst like CHess-Wise, CHeckers-Wise and similar games developed by Marcel live up to all he states. In addition, all of the board games are accessible to a blind person. Marcel took his apps that were essentially inaccessible and within a few weeks made them fully accessible. Developers can see that an independent developer such as Marcel invested time in making his app accessible to another segment of the market that tends to be overlooked. It has benefitted him in many ways and most important proves that accessibility does not have to cost a lot or take anything away from an app. So, great job Marcel for an excellent and accessible app.
