Description
CompareMerge is a software tool for file comparison and merging text-like files.
It is useful for determining what has changed between versions, and then merging changes between versions.

- COMPARE FOLDERS/FILES: can compare both 2 files or 2 folders
- QUICK COMPARE FOLDERS: allow to quickly compare two folders files by size or date or both or with full content (slower)
- BLANK COMPARE: Allow to create blank edit window to compare text then save later
- CUSTOM THEME COLOR: User can select predefined theme color or customize edit text color, background color....
- INLINE EDIT (Edit/Merge at the same time) : Compare and Merge 2 text files: allow you to edit/compare/merge 2 text files in the same windows
- LINE NUMBER: When edit file, showing line number will make it easier to know exactly changes positions.
- GENERATE PATCH: the application also contains patch generating capabilities.
- FILE FILTERS: Include or exclude files that match regular expressions. Other than that, after compare 2 folders, you could filter display item base on file name.
- INCLUDE SUBFOLDERS: This option lets you control the depth of a folder comparison. Enabling it compares all folder levels
- COPY TO: after compare 2 folder, you can select left or right files to copy to different location (example: when release change source)
- DELETE Left/Right/Both: after compare 2 folder, you can select left or right files to delete
- IGNORE CASE, SPACE: Allow to ignore Case, Space in Edit/Merge window
- IGNORE End-Line code: Allow to ignore difference in End Line Code (LF for Mac・Unix file, CR-LF for Windows file, or CR for Mac classic file) in Edit mode.
Note: when compare folders, EOL was not ignored.
- EXPORT / CREATE REPORT: Allow to export compare/merge result to clipboard or to files (support formats: CSV, Text, HTML)
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Syntax highlight
- Theme color
- Export to zip file
- User can compare hidden files, folder (example: .git folder)
- Allow to merge binary-plist file
- In edit mode, a small view is show to the exact text difference

Small bug
Trop cher pour ce que cela fait
Bonjour, Plutôt déçu par cette application, ne fait rien de plus que dautres applications gratuites comme Textwrangler pour comparer des fichiers… mauvais achat en ce qui me concerne. A 0,99€ OK mais à 4,49€...
good graphical tool , but lot of errors
I use this tool just to compare a file with another : the counter of differences is completely wrong ! Option to display only different or identical lines doesnt work . The same for show left/right only. Merge option also doesnt work should be tested more !
Entende encodings diferentes dos nativos do Mac!
Excelente ferramenta de diff. Consegue abrir arquivos pela rede, identifica corretamente encodings (ANSI, UTF8, etc) e não corrompe. E a apresentação das diferenças facilita bastante entender o que é "novo" e o que é "velho".

Eu estava com um chato e complicado trabalho a fazer, que era: tendo 2 códigos-fonte (.lua) cada um tendo mais de 8K linhas de código, eu precisava analisar praticamente os dois ao mesmo tempo para tentar descobrir onde poderia existir uma diferença entre eles (no código, nessas 8000 linhas) e dessa forma ter a habilidade de se resolver o que estava "bugado". Procurando aqui na Mac AppStore sobre um programa que pudesse me ajudar a fazer esse trabalho que descrevi acima, achei vários, mas a maioria apenas comparava os arquivos pelo seu respectivo tamanho em KB, e isso no meu caso não me interessava nem ajudaria em nada já que eu precisava de um "analisador in-code e in-line". PRONTO! Encontrei o CompareMerge e resolvi todos os meus problemas! Ele além de encontrar até as menores diferenças entre as minhas inúmeras linhas de código, descobriu exatamente onde estava a principal diferença (que era a que eu estava precisando encontrar) entre os arquivos e mostra isso de maneira clara e funcional. EXCELENTE App para o que se propõe! Recomendo.
