Cosmic Crawler is also highly customizable with dozens of options and configurations including multiple views/screens.
- Jump to an object or use the object browser, loaded with thousands of objects including planets, comets, asteroids, spacecraft, stars, extra-solar planets and other galaxies. You can even view specific features on objects within the solar system, such as the mountains of Mars or the frozen plains of Europa.
- Follow an object through time or use the orbit, lock phase or chase modes at any range.
- Use the eclipse finder to view future or past eclipses on Earth, the moon, or any planet in the solar system.
- Fly through space using game-like controls for pitch, yaw and roll. Look forward or backward as you fly or track a space object. Fly as fast as you like, even 1 light year per second, the speed of light is not a constraint in Cosmic Crawler.
- Accelerate or reverse time to any point and at any speed. Jump millions of years into the future or past or watch time unfold with amazing animations. You can also view and factor in light speed delays.
- Display labels and orbits for all categories of celestial objects, constellation figures and/or boundaries, a space coordinate system and many other special features.
- Adjust your display settings with dozens of options including star style, brightness, resolution, texture, field of view settings and more.
- Split you screen into multiple subviews to visualize different object simultaneously or the same object from multiple view points.
- Keep track of interesting objects by saving it and the current view via the "Favorites" menu.

Une arnaque !!!
Ce programme plante sur mon Imac 10.6.6
Cette application ressemble en effet à une arnaque... dans mon cas elle plante au démarrage de lapplication... vue les écrans de la doc de vente, il semble quil sagisse en effet dune réplique de Celestia qui lui est gratuit.... Quand on rentre dans le code planté, certaines routines on effet pour nom Celestia....
ATTENTION ARNAQUE
Même punition que la version précédente. Après désinstallation de tous les composants et ré installation de lAppStore, je nobtient que : "FATALE Erreur lors du chargement des fichiers de données. Cosmic Crawler va maintenant quitter." Le lien indiqué pour contacter lauteur naboutit pas. cest une mauvaise copie allégée et peut-être même illégale de "Celestia", le logiciel Open source (gratuit) qui lui fonctionne très bien.
Crash dès la 1ere installation.
Cette app est une version payante de Celestia, qui est gratuite !! Et en plus elle ne marche pas... jai payé, installé et dès que jessaye de lancer, ça crashe. Je demande un remboursement.
Valeur encyclopédique
Cette application est une véritable mine encyclopédique. Sûr que sa version gratuite (Celestia sur Source Forge) est tout aussi intéressante (le portage sur OSX nest pas très convainquant). Ne vous laissez pas tenter par les sirènes. Sur ma configuration (iMac i7 12Go) je nai pas eu de problèmes daffichages ou de plantages, il nen reste pas moins quil ny a rien doptimisé sur le Mac. Les raccourcis complexes et le manque dergonomie réservent cette application aux plus assidus des fans. Jattends impatiemment davoir des menus In-apps plus conviviaux pour partager ma passion avec mes proches. Là, chaque démonstration tourne à la farce où je passe plus de temps à chercher les codes que de mamuser avec eux. Un bon 4 étoiles pour la partie encyclopédique et 2 étoiles (voire 1) pour la partie interface et ergonomie.
Its not easy....
Something must be done to make this app more friendly. Good design, lots of stuffs but after 3 days I just zoom in and out.... or find something through de browser. Also a much better help would HELP finding and or how do things with this app.

Infelizmente não li os comentários na App Store em inglês. Este software não abre. O link de suporte não leva a lugar algum. Entrei em contato pelo email pessoal do autor. Caso o problema seja resolvido informo por aqui. Unfortunately I havent read the comments on the american App Store. This software wont start. The support link wont lead you anywhere. I got in touch with the author using his personal email. In case the problem is solved I will inform using this comment system.
