Description

f2 is the essential magazine for anyone interesting in turning their photographic skills into income, whether as a full-time career or a revenue stream to enhance lifestyle and financial independence. f2 Freelance Photographer is published six times a year as a premium quality print edition. We are pleased to make it available here as an electronic edition to extend our readership worldwide without the high postage costs required for a publication of this type. f2 was founded in 2004 by David Kilpatrick, who has taken over the magazine again from April 2014 after seven years with a different publisher, and invested in a major upgrade to the quality and content. Issues after April 2014 are significantly different from those before, which you can still obtain as back issues. The new content is more varied and less predictable, with a wide range of topical reports on freelancing, the stock photo business, profiles and portfolios, an open gallery, success stories… even the occasional failure story… expert equipment reviews which are not ‘tests’ but advice on performance and practical use. A typical issue of f2 contains 30-35,000 words and over 150 images. It doesn’t just feel like a book, it’s got as much content as a book! ---------------------------------------------- This is a free app download. Within the app users can purchase the current issue and back issues. Subscriptions are also available within the application. A subscription will start from the latest regular issue at the time of purchase. -The subscription will renew automatically unless cancelled more than 24 hours before the end of the current period. You will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, for the same duration and at the current subscription rate for the product. -You may turn off the auto-renewal of subscriptions through your Account Settings, however you are not able to cancel the current subscription during its active period. -Payment will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase and any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when a subscription to that publication is purchased. -If a subscription offers a free trial, at the end of the trial period, you will be charged the full price of the subscription. You may cancel a subscription during its free trial period via the subscription settings on your iTunes account. This must be done 24 hours before the end of the subscription period to avoid being charged. Users can register for/ login to a pocketmags account in-app. This will protect their issues in the case of a lost device and allow browsing of purchases on multiple platforms. Existing pocketmags users can retrieve their purchases by logging into their account. We recommend loading the app for the first time in a wi-fi area so that all issue data is retrieved. If your app will not load past the splash page after a first install or an update, please delete and reinstall the app from the App Store Help and frequently asked questions can be accessed in-app and on pocketmags. Interesting mag, poor app, poor image quality

MasterFR · 13 years ago · v4.2.5

Mag: 4, App: 2 Mag: Just what it says, not really more, or less. Real life stories of photographers and how they make a business out of what they do, they preferences, suggestions, etc. A nice read for ideas of how to make things work, maybe help in making your own style and ideas work for you. App: Not so good (similar to apps for many pocket mags publications). Often just crashes/quits (and on restart doesnt return to where you left off). Images/pics are very poor quality in that though you can zoom and see more detail, they are extremely over contrasty, totally making the images not even close to what they really are, and for a photography mag, thats not good. App also refuses to pan sometimes, have to keep poking at it or re-zoom. Id think a company with so many publications would have a decent, fast app for viewing (on iPad), and would at least take reasonable care to not totally mess-up images (particularly when zoomed, as they seem to be the worst).

Not Free

When you see a magazine in the Free section, you expect it to actually be free. This is just a stupid app to get you to buy a subscription. Dont download it if you are expecting a free magazine.
