Reviews
All reviews →Interesting mag, poor app, poor image quality
Mag: 4, App: 2 Mag: Just what it says, not really more, or less. Real life stories of photographers and how they make a business out of what they do, they preferences, suggestions, etc. A nice read for ideas of how to make things work, maybe help in making your own style and ideas work for you. App: Not so good (similar to apps for many pocket mags publications). Often just crashes/quits (and on restart doesnt return to where you left off). Images/pics are very poor quality in that though you can zoom and see more detail, they are extremely over contrasty, totally making the images not even close to what they really are, and for a photography mag, thats not good. App also refuses to pan sometimes, have to keep poking at it or re-zoom. Id think a company with so many publications would have a decent, fast app for viewing (on iPad), and would at least take reasonable care to not totally mess-up images (particularly when zoomed, as they seem to be the worst).
Not Free
When you see a magazine in the Free section, you expect it to actually be free. This is just a stupid app to get you to buy a subscription. Dont download it if you are expecting a free magazine.
