How do you feel about this app?

Description

Fillably is best-in-class for making PDF forms, the perfect companion to Preview or PDF Expert, and an impeccable pinch-hitter for apps that do it poorly. Fillably will feel familiar the first time you use it. Fillably opens with a tutorial the first time you launch it. It explains everything you need to know! How to: ∙ Add fillable fields. ∙ Reposition, resize, and align fields. ∙ Duplicate fields. ∙ Set the form's tab order for correct navigation. ∙ Use Test Mode to enter text, change fonts, sizes and alignment, and instantly see how the form actually works! You can also view the tutorial here: frameworker.wordpress.com/2026/06/14/fillably-tutorial

Version History

Latest: 3.1.8

New in Fillably 3.1.22: ∙ Updated Fillably landing page to emphasize Test Mode ∙ Added link to the tutorial in app page description so prospective customers could read it. In 3.1.21: ∙ Full multi-page PDF support. You can now make the form larger than one page, limited only by the vertical size of your display. And you can scroll to any page on a form. ∙ Tab order is only hidden for items that are selected during dragging or resizing but it is shown for items that are not being moved. In 3.1.20: ∙ Tab order is now re-centered in fields after they are dragged, resized or repositioned. ∙ Pasted items are allowed to straddle pages but are treated as straddlers. If paste overlaps document bounds though, it is disallowed and you will hear an alert sound. ∙ Detects and flags items straddling pages for all cases: after drag, after copy-drag, after resizing commands, after resizing by dragging a handle, after paste and after pertinent undo commands (e.g. Undo resize). ∙ If your stroke color is red, straddlers will be drawn in black. Otherwise straddlers are drawn in red. In 3.1.19: ∙ Fixed a serious scrolling issue when dragging fields in multi-page documents. ∙ If you drag a field on a multi-page form so it straddles a page boundary, it will be drawn in red. ∙ If you try going into test mode or saving the document in this state, you will hear an alert sound. You will have to reposition fields so they don't overlap page boundaries before you can test or save. ∙ Resize fields commands changed: Option-arrow grows the edge that the arrow points to in the direction of the arrow. Shift reverses the movement of that edge, shrinking it. This is documented in the Tutorial. In 3.1.18: ∙ Test mode has been updated to allow changes to text alignment and also to properly maintain the state of checkboxes and radio buttons when you toggle back and forth between test mode and edit mode. ∙ The Tutorial has been updated to reflect all changes made in this and prior versions. (3.1.17 was skipped) In 3.1.16: ∙ Fillably now has a Test Form command that lets you prototype forms. In test mode, you can enter text into fields and dynamically change font, size and color. You see what the user will see without having to loop into Preview & back! This is a game-changer! In 3.1.15 ∙ You can now option-drag a selection to copy it. ∙ Documents now auto-scroll when you drag a selection outside of view so you see the selection as it's being dragged. ∙ Added "Save Tutorial…" button at bottom of Tutorial window to save it as a PDF. ∙ Settings has additional fonts and sizes. ∙ There are shortcuts for Palette Tools (shown in tooltips). ∙ The selection is now dimmed in windows that aren't active. ∙ Fixed bug to constrain window height when resizing so not to show space below the page.
