Description

FrameFinder is a companion utility for use with the Optica Magnus Full Frame Finder. It is used to create customized Frame Lines to print on a clear polyester sheet, using a commonly available office Laser Printer, to be then cut out and inserted in front of the ground glass of the Finder. These custom frame lines will then be visibly superimposed on the image, when viewing through a cinema lens when that lens attached to the Full Frame Finder. Simple and easy to use, it allows the user to create up to three custom framing rectangles, defined in millimeters to the hundredth of a millimeter for the horizontal and vertical dimensions. Custom headroom is possible, relative between two or three different framing rectangles, enabling “Common Center,” "Common Top,” or anything in between. There are choices for the shape of the center mark, or none, as well as choices for the area outside the framing rectangles to be clear or shaded. The App prints 18 identical copies of the design per 8.5 x 11 inch clear polyester sheet. It is possible to “Save” the individual frame line designs into a library that can be loaded back into the App and printed.
