FreeSpeech is an app to explore the English language! Drag and rearrange picture tiles, and FreeSpeech will convert them into a perfectly grammatical English sentence. Innovativer Lernansatz, aber (noch) mangelhafte Umsetzung

Mit drei Englisch lernenden Kindern hat mich diese App spontan angesprochen. Die Umsetzung erscheint mir sehr gut gelungen und ich sehe hier viel Potential für eine wirklich tolle Anwendung. Warum (nur) zwei Sterne? Leider lässt die technische Umsetzung insofern zu wünschen übrig, als dass schon nach kürzester Zeit der Nutzung (ein Satz genügte bisher), die CPU Last derart in die Höhe schnellt, dass auf meinem MacBook Pro 13" von 2015 der Lüfter hochdreht und der Strom-Verbrauch massiv ansteigt. Für eine Nutzung auf dem MacBook Air der Kinder - die oft fernab der Steckdose damit lernen - ein echtes Problem. Was mir auch nicht ganz so gut gefällt, ist die Suchfunktion, die zumindest bei meinen Suchen nur bei exakter Übereinstimmung Treffer lieferte. Trotzdem ein Lob an die Entwickler_innen, die hier eine wirklich schöne App erschaffen haben.

High CPU usage

The app needs high CPU usage even on an IMac 2016 turn on the fans of 100%. Please fix this issue and then will be a fine app.

No dobra, przyznajmy się, kupiłem, bo były takie fajne recenzje i strona taka fajna, ale w tej wersji to porażka. Do tej pory nie wiedziałałem, że mój MacBook ma wiatraki? To ten komputer wydaje jakieś dźwięki? Warczy jak mikser kuchenny? Really? Tyle wstępu Ogólnie dla dzieci ok, pozwala się uczyć języka, pomysł ok, realizacja: rozmiem, to musiało kosztować masę czasu, ale po kilkunastu minutach ma się dość, mimo, że spore chęci były. Czekam na update, wtedy zmienię recenzję, ale narazie w tej wersji NIE MA CO KUPOWAĆ, chyba, ze chcecie przetestować swoje wiatraki w komputerze.

A great app for language impairments

I’ve been using this app for some time now with kids with language impairments. This app is truly revolutionary, and it makes all kinds of interventions possible which I never imagined were even doable before. I use this app extensively for contrasting different sentence forms, teaching tenses, and for helping kids improve their grammar and utterance length. I love the fact that you can put in your own photographs and words. There are a few errors as sentences become longer, and I hope the developer will correct them in future versions. But for its price, this app is almost magical in how it helps with therapy. 5 stars!

Super useful to teach grammar

This wonder app is useful to teach grammar to young students with language impairments. Kids find it fun to play with and create sentences. It has a simple interface by which I can modify the tense in a sentence or negate a sentence or turn it into a question. With the press of a button I can demonstrate all these changes to students! The visual and audio feedback also helps in reinforcing words and expanding vocabulary for students. There is nothing like this out there! I hope the developers keep making the app better in the future versions.
