Go for Google Drive at Mac App Store analyse

Waste of time and money. This app is just a web view. Just use Chrome instead, which is free.

It crashes a lot and its essentially a small chrome browser window. Wish I had my $3 back.

This is basically like having google drive in a stand-alone app on your desktop. The way I work, I prefer to have a stand-alone app because as a web designer, I always have 10+ browser tabs open and being able to quickly access my todo lists via an app vs trying to find a browser tab is nice. It’s a little confusing when first installing because it didn’t act like a native app in that I couldn’t see the icon when using CMD + Tab function and the default window settings aren’t like most apps but browsing through and configuring the settings fixed all that so now it acts just like any other app when switching windows.

This is nothing different than accessing your files in a browser. The application launches a Google Drive page in its own window, where you’ll have to login directly (it wont even request permission to access your Google account). Also, I find the description deceptive as it states that youll have “Instant access" to all your stored files via the menu bar. One would expect that the menu bar lets you search your Google Drive for instant results or, at least, that it will list the most recent files. Instead, you’ll get instant access to Google Drives official page.
