Description

GPS Topo USA turns your iPhone or iPad into a fully functional GPS. It features seamless 1:24,000 scale, USGS topographic maps that store locally for offline use. Waypoints allow you to create, store, annotate and display your own custom destinations on the map. Use waypoints to store tree stands, fishing spots, duck blinds, trail heads, or any other point of interest. Get turn-by-turn driving directions or use the apps built in field compass to guide you right to any waypoint. Store your vehicles location so you can return from the wilds with confidence. Each waypoint features a "GO" button for turn-by-turn driving directions and a "Target" button for compass navigation. Simply follow the direction of travel arrow on your compass and let youre guided to your targeted destination. In addition to topographic maps, you can also choose and of Apples Road Maps, Satellite Images, or Hybrid Maps while online and weve included a road map that stores locally for offline use from the OpenStreetMap project. For your safety, GPS Topo USA is intended only as a reference and should not be used as your sole means of navigation. Note: WiFi only iPads may not include a GPS receiver which is required for navigation in the field.

Ne contient aucune carte permet de regarder sa position sur plan ne sert vraiment a rien

App allows you to log your car as a target (waypoint) for hiking or hunting in rural areas. Sections of maps can be downloaded so cellphone coverage is not an issue. Great for any outdoorsman

This is the first topographic map app Ive tried. It is OK. Good features: ability to store maps for use when no cell phone signal is present. Features Id like to see: 1) greater resolution when zooming in. It is really only fair to poor if you need to get detail of right where you are, 2) a scale of miles so I can judge distance accurately, 3) a tutorial on how to read topo maps. This is not a map type many are familiar with any longer &having to hunt outside the app is inconvenient and assumes I have internet access.

I have used this on several hunting and fishing trips in Alaska. Love it, really nice to use my phone with a larger screen. However I leads take a back up gps.
