OldTimeRadio Great Detectives at Mac App Store analyse

The podcast is one of the best... Unfortunately the app is very buggy, poorly thought out and the tech support consists of restart the app or reinstall the app. I would suggest accessing the podcast via iTunes until the app is improved.

While the podcast itself is fantastic, the latest version of this app is unusable. For some reason, Sherlock Holmes episodes appear to be the hardest hit: theyll play for about 5 minutes, and then just stop playing. Save your money until the app is fixed...

WOW...unbelievable! You updated this app and now NONE of the Sherlock Holmes episodes will play! The stream just tries and tries to load. Other shows play but none of the Sherlock Holmes. I would give it 0 stars if I could! Useless app from terrible app developers! Terrible app. First thing I did was search for Sherlock Holmes and got a few episodes listed but when I search for just the word Sherlock I get hundreds of episodes listed. Terrible indexing. Then when I try to play episodes 0009 and 0014 of Sherlock Holmes it actually plays episodes of Johnny dollar. How many other shows are miss indexed? 2 more bugs: 1. If you listen to a show, for say 5 minutes, then select another show to listen to instead of the new show starting from the beginning it actually starts at the 5 minute mark, or whatever point you were at in the previous show. You have to manually restart the new show. 2. If you are listening to something else on your iPad in the background and you select a show from this app it tries to play but wont. You have to go back to the app playing in the background and shut it down first. ---------------- Many of the bugs have been fixed. The app seems to run much better now. Although the search function could still be better.

I drive for a living and every night I hit the highway with more than enough episodes to get me through the night. I started tripping over the podcast by accident and now I am totally hooked! I like Johnny Dollar the best but with Adams insiteful commentary and great research I have to come to enjoy all the different shows that gdootr has to offer. Keep up the great work Adam I love your show.

I love this podcast; Adams commentary is interesting and makes the listener appreciate the otr shows even more. This app is a handy way to make sure u dont miss an episode and the apps special extra shows are always appreciated. My only wish is that there was next/back button to move between episodes. Also, since the latest update it takes 30-45 seconds to load the app (unlike just a few seconds prior to the update). Overall, it a fantastic show and a good app.

Its exactly what it says it is and it works!!!! The narrator Adam, is amiable and offers a plethora of history and information before and after each episode. Keep up the great work and thank you for all your time! Really enjoyable!!!
