Description

This application is a SIMPLE periodic table of the chemical elements. About ***** The periodic table of the chemical elements is a tabular display of the chemical elements. Although precursors to this table exist, its invention is generally credited to Russian chemist Dmitri Mendeleev in 1869, who intended the table to illustrate recurring ("periodic") trends in the properties of the elements. The layout of the table has been refined and extended over time, as new elements have been discovered, and new theoretical models have been developed to explain chemical behavior. Features ******* - The periodic table (pinch-zoomable table) - Descriptions and illustrations of the elements The following properties are displayed for each element if the value is currently known by science. Name, Element category Group, Standard atomic weight Electron configuration Electrons per shell Phase, Density (near r.t.) Liquid density Melting point Boiling point Heat of fusion Heat of vaporization Specific heat capacity (25 °C) Oxidation states Electronegativity Ionization energies Atomic radius Covalent radius Van der Waals radius Crystal structure Magnetic ordering Electrical resistivity (20 °C) Thermal conductivity (300 K) Thermal expansion (25 °C) Speed of sound (thin rod) Youngs modulus Shear modulus Bulk modulus Poisson ratio Mohs hardness Brinell hardness CAS registry number Note: iAd supported application.

This app is super helpful. It has all the info you need about each molecule and more than you need. Definitely a good app, especially since its free. Very easy to use.

Good

Periodic table works well and has most of the information you could possibly need. The zooming is a little clumsy since you select the element in most cases instead. Also, when attempting to select Ni, the app chooses Cu. Fix these issues and 5 stars. Possible future features would be to allow comparing multiple element data sheets.

Amazing!!
