Japan Airlines (JAL) presents this position locator application - the JAL BLE Beacon Locator, utilizing Bluetooth Low Energy Beacon. Please note this application is only usable in conjunction with the JAL BLE Beacon Tag exclusively presented by JAL to eligible parties. The JAL BLE Beacon Locator can help Beacon Tag holders keep tabs of the whereabouts of his/her luggage or other small items. By registering the Beacon Tag in the JAL BLE Beacon Locator application, and attaching it to a luggage or other small item, users will be able to see on the application the distance between beacon and locator. The application also alerts users when the tagged item moves beyond a certain distance from the locator. [Main Functions] Locating Mode In the Locating Mode, users can check the approximate distance between the Beacon Tag and the locator, as well as see when they move closer to or further from each other in real-time. Alert Mode In this mode, users will be alerted by the application once the Beacon Tag is moved a certain (pre-set) distance away from the locator. It serves as a warning to the user if the tagged item is being taken away from them without their knowledge. The forms of alerts include a pop-up on the home screen, sound and vibration. Detection Mode The locator can detect the tagged item when it comes within a certain range of the locator, and can be set at low, medium, high sensitivity. [Attention] The Beacon Tag is a device that emits radio waves and is powered by a small battery. Depending on the surrounding environment and the strength of the battery, the distance displayed on the application is approximate. Also, having the Beacon Tag in the Alert Mode does not guarantee the safeguard of the tagged item so please be sure to take care of all your belongings. Please keep the Beacon Tag out of reach of young children as it may cause choking if swallowed. This application is usable with the BLE Beacon provided by Gimbal, Inc. only.
