My 6 year old, with some basic knowledge of chess, found the game very boring and said she didnt learn anything new. She likes Dino Chess much more and is actually learning with them. The game might be okay for 5 and under (the description says 5 and up / any age) with zero knowledge of chess.
A lot of effort put into this game
My son is 6 and has a good grasp of chess. He enjoys the game and it is teaching him quite a bit about strategy. The progression is slow and thorough. The game actually has hours of progression through every aspect of the game of chess. There is a fun reward system to keep the kids interested. I would highly recommend this game to teach young people some basic strategy.

I guess there might be chess in this game. Weve played the first few levels and nothing related to chess yet. Moreover, Im not sure what age level this game is supposed to be for since it keeps jumping back and forth between content appropriate for a 2 and 5 year old. I assume chess will come up at some point, but for a game that it marketed as teaching chess to kids, its very weak. If I lived in Europe, Id request my money back.
Excellent app
My 5 years old daughter just loves this. Great story makes it fun to learn. It is not just teaching the chess moves it drives the kids through the logic, step by step.
