The free version converted the front page of the file I needed converting. The pro version did not convert any of the remaining pages. Tech support were not able to help.
So far, very good!
I’ve used this on a few EZPass statements. I few issues with merged date columns on import, but the overall import quality of PDF to Excel is EXCELLENT! I hope the developer continues to improve this app even further. Have to give it 5 stars for what it can do now. Already saved me hours of work. Thanks!
Very disappointing
I’m trying to use this app to convert Bank and Credit Card statements, which are in PDF format, into Excel files that I can then use to do my taxes. With Bank Account statements, it seems to work well, however with Credit Card statements (from Bank of America), forget it! I gives me an error message for each file, offers to repair it, and after the repair is complete and the file opens, there’s very little data left and it’s useless. Further, there are basic features that an app such as this should have that are missing or non-standard, such as: 1) You must specify where you want to save the Excel files the app produces (which is fine), however the usual alternate default choices are not present, such as “Desktop” or “Same directory as source PDF files.” 2) The Preferences open as a side-bar to the app. This is non-standard UI design. 3) The Preferences do not allow you much control over the app. For example, I do not want every converted file automatically opened in Excel. I want to batch convert a bunch of PDFs and then open the Excel files later. Nope, can’t do that. This should be an option in Preferences, but instead, if you batch convert 20 PDFs, you have to sit through Excel opening each file, which is a big time waster. 4) The button to remove the PDFs from the workflow list is labeled “Clean All.” This is an obvious mis-translation of “Clear All.” Overall, this app is not worth $25 and I’m sorry I spent it. I was encouraged by the results with converting Bank Statements with the trial version of the app, purchased the Pro app, and am now sorely disappointed at the result with converting Credit Card Statements.
Didn’t work as advertised...
Figured it would be great to use for my stats classes but nothing converted from pdf to Excel Pro just got a blank screen Is there any possiblity this could be fixed please?
