Description

Sprite 64 is a sprite editor that allows hires or multicolour sprites to be created with or without an overlay for use in game and software development for the Commodore 64. Key features: • Edit sprites in hi-res or multicolour mode, with or without an overlaid sprite (which can be to add more colour and detail to your sprites), easily toggling between the sprite and the overlay allowing you to quickly draw multicoloured, hires sprites (see our game Freaky Fish DX for the Commodore 64 for an example of the type of sprites this editor is designed for). • See how much memory your sprites are currently taking up in the video bank. • Drag and drop your sprite to organise the sprite bank as required. • Visually create animations using looping, bounce and more. • Use the graphical tool to create bounding rectangles for use with collision detection routines • Import and export compatible data to and from SpritePad files. • Export your sprite data as a binary file for use in assembly language, BASIC or any language that supports sprites on the Commodore 64. • Export metadata for sprites, animation and collision to a text file for use with your own game engine.
