This OCR is highly accurate and can save you a lot of precious time along the way. Currently it scans English text and future versions will add more languages. It also includes a barcode (including QR) reader. The app also has text-to-speech abilities so you can have text read out to you in one of the many currently supported languages: English / Italian / French / German / Portuguese / Spanish and using a variety of voices and accents. 22 voices ship with this version-all for free. The app works offline and all processing is done locally. No data leaves your Mac. You will need to give access to the app via System preferences > Privacy the first time you run the app. This is essential for capturing and reading the screen area selected.
