Egal welche Bitrate ich bei WebM einstelle - die resultierende Dateigröße bleibt immer gleich. Zusätzlich viel zu häufige Programmabstürze. Kann ich NICHT empfehlen.

Can’t Open WebM Videos?

I bought this to trim a small segment out of a WebM video. However, when I click the import button, I am unable to select my WebM video file (seems to restrict the file format you can select). Per the description, I should be able to “Convert WebM/VP8 video to virtually any SD/HD video format”. It appears this is not the case, which makes this app useless. Addendum: I have just tried renaming the webm file with an mpeg extension, and it appears the app is able to open that fine. So, it seems like this is a bug; one that could have been very costly had I not thought of this workaround.

I wanted to take a WebM video and convert it to any other format. This tool does not support importing WebM files and the fix noted by the other reviewer (rename extension) does not work. Shame on apple for letting this on the app store.

I paid $30 and cant figure out how to convert a simple mp4 video to webm

The description clearly states: “…Ghisoft WebM Converter is a powerful WebM decoder to help you convert WebM/VP8 to common video formats…” This is NOT true, and if it is- I can’t get it to work. I tried Neo Goku’s suggested workaround of renaming the file with .mpeg. While this will get the file to open, it will not convert. I cannot open .webm files, I cannot convert them, this app is useless.
