The old v2 app was fantastic, I could zoom in on the page, read it portrait style and I flt really used to it. It was simple. Roll on v3 app from 7th jan 2013 a d now you are reading only landscape and cannot zoom!! Now you have to read the entire page on the iPad screen - I gave up after 3 pages, too sore. Needs to change back or I will not be resubscribing. Or change to allow users to zoom.
Beware - Do not update What Car App from v.2!
I purchased/downloaded the Feb 2013 issue at the beginning of Jan. It was an exact replica of the print magazine - excellent. I just updated the App to the Jan. 7 interactive version and can no longer access the magazine issue that I purchased. It has disappeared from my Newstand. I hope this is a temporary glitch. I am not impressed! 2013/01/30: It took several days before the Missing Issues button finally succeeded in restoring my Feb 2013 issue but it no longer includes the Buyers Guide tables of performance etc. info. that was the main motivation for my purchase. Also the loss of the ability to zoom renders much of the text v. difficult or impossible to read. My Jan 18 email request to What Car for help in restoring what I have lost by updating remains unanswered. If you have not yet updated - lucky you. P.S. The Feb 2013 issue that I bought using v.2 still hasnt appeared for sale in the What Car store in v.3.
Problem with layout
February issue with landscape-only 2-page layout is a disaster. Impossible to read
