I gave five stars as I am from a rural area and this is my only news source. I like concise news, not a lot of unnecessary unrelated details. I think WLWT is that source of good reporting and have a interest not only of urban Cincinnati, but rural counties news as well.
Channel 5 Phone App
Im a college student who lives social media but not necessarily the news. And I have really became to realize how much we need to pay attention to the news! And this app from channel five is the most useful app on my phone.
Changed for the worse
I hate that video automatically starts playing when you select a story in the updated version. Even with my phone on mute commercials blast out at top volume (scaring the crap out of my dog). Also, the news is broken down by category, but the same stories are repeated again and again in different categories. I liked the old version much better.
Weather radar!
This is the only app I use for weather updates and the radar. Its the best radar Ive found. You can even turn on warnings that overlay on the map.

Great app. Extremely informative and versatile. I use it daily to get the latest local news, about traffic and weather as well.
Dependable and current
The first place I go for news in Cincy is this app. Usually I avoid the ads if possible because I dont want to take the time to wait. So Ill skip that news story but there is enough news to catch up on.
