If you love word puzzles, Word Mix Up is the app for you. This word game is like a mash-up of jigsaw puzzles, crosswords, and that popular video game where you have to fit different shapes together as they appear on the screen. Use your vocabulary and spatial skills to solve a multitude of puzzles, spread over 6 levels of difficulty, starting at “tiny” and moving up to “massive”.
How to play: You are provided with a board, ranging in size from 4 x 5 (tiny) up to 7 x 7 (massive), and puzzle pieces in a variety of shapes that have letters on them. You will need to figure out how get all of the pieces to fit together on the board while simultaneously making sure that you’ve created a complete word on each line. To keep it from getting too complicated, you only have to form words horizontally.
The smaller puzzles are easy enough for beginners and are also great for those who are looking for a quick game to kill some time. Take on the challenge of the larger boards to really flex those brain muscles as you try to piece everything together. There is also a time tracker, so you can get in touch with your competitive side as you try to solve the puzzles as quickly as possible. You can also earn badges for gameplay, from playing for a given amount of time to completing a certain number of puzzles (and of course for solving all of the puzzles).
