Description
“Year 6 Selective School and Scholarship - style Math Tests” is designed for Year 5-6 students to prepare for the Selective High School Placement Test for entry to Year 7.
The app is also useful to prepare for the Scholarship Math Tests, ICAS Mathematics test, NAPLAN Math test and other challenging math tests for the students aged 10-12.
The app offers
• 5 Sample tests (each has 40 questions)
• 15 Mini tests (each has 10-15 questions)
The app covers following topics / concepts:
• Numeracy (Whole & Decimal Numbers, Fractions, Averages, Ratios & Percentages, Money, Operations, Problem Solving, etc.)
• Algebra (Patterns and Sequences, Problem Solving, Functions, Number Planes)
• Geometry (2D & 3D Objects, Angles, Nets, Maps & Networks, Coordinates, Symmetry, Transformations, Top & Front & Side Views, etc.)
• Measurement (Perimeter, Area, Volume, Time, Speed & Distance, Mass, Graphs, Data, Tables, Probability, Statistics)
The app provides following functionality:
• Each question is provided with detailed explanation (solution), so the student can learn the best strategy to solve similar questions.
• The questions come with hundreds high-quality images.
• Each test provides the detailed comprehensive report with option to review the correct / incorrect answers.
• Detailed progress report. Check the student’s strengths and weaknesses, or review any completed test.
• Option to skip the question, to choose any question in the list and to see which questions are still unanswered.
• Option to turn on / off the ‘Solution’ button. Turn it ON if the student learns the test structure and various math topics / concepts, and turn it OFF when the student needs to assess the skills.
• Option to turn on / off the timer (useful when your kids try to solve the problems with time constraints).
• Your progress is automatically saved, so if you accidentally close the app or when the device suddenly lost the battery power, then you have an option to restore the previous session after you start the app for the next time.
• Ability to reset the history.
• Sound control.
