Simple check of Shutter Count on Canon cameras.
for Canon EOS DSLR (DIGIC III and later) cameras.
"Shutter Counter" allows you to read a shutter counter value from a camera.
Reasons to retrieve a camera's shutter count include:
- confirm that a new camera is truly new
- establish value of a used camera
- detect shutter counter value for sale camera with detailed info
You can't receive "Shutter Counter" value from Canon Utilites.
For receive "Shutter Counter" value, you can use this application.
Just download this application and connect your camera via USB.
You can check "Shutter Counter" value unlimited times for unlimited cameras.
Before start app, please close any applications, that used cameras connection.

Single-DIGIC III, all DIGIC IV, and some DIGIC V EOS cameras are supported.
Now, newest processors, such as Digic 6,7,8 supported too.
DIGIC II and dual DIGIC III cameras are NOT supported. Shutter count is not available for the 5D (Mark I), 1D Mark III, and the 1Ds Mark III. EOS M (mirrorless) models are not supported.

Newer EOS models (1D X Mark III, 90D, 200D II, 250D, 850D, R, Ra, RP, R5, R6, M6 Mark II, M50, Rebel SL3, Rebel T8i, Kiss X10, Kiss X10i, Kiss M) and PowerShot (G5 X Mark II) report shutter count in increments of 1000 shots.

I have a Canon R6MII and as soon as I downloaded it, camera was already plugged in, it immediately popped up with my shutter count. Didn't even need to open the app manually! Definitely glad that I tried this one before the $10 one, because I don't really *need* all the bells and whistles since I just bought this camera last year - great app for those that are just curious!

Shutter Counter
The program works well for 5d Markiii but as the developer noted not with newer cameras. I also have two other shutter count apps and they do not work with newer Canon cameras either. This program works as well as the other two programs and is very functional. I had trouble getting the program to work at first. I contacted the developer and the problem was solved and the app works great.
Good app
Works as advertised - Simple and easy!
As has been stated repeatedly, this app will not work with newer models but works just fine with older ones. The developer is very upfront about compatibilty issues. Beyond that, this was such a great and easy app to use. So many other apps and programs try to make it complicated. This one gets the job done with no hassle. 100% worth it!
