Description
Quick CSV is a professional tool to view and edit CSV files. You can modify the structure of your spreadsheet by adding, moving and removing rows and columns. Moreover, you can use the search feature to quickly find the records you need.
Quick CSV handles all international variations of the CSV file format:
– String encodings (UTF-8, Mac OS Roman, Windows Latin, etc.)
– Column separators (comma, semicolon, tab, etc.)
– Decimal characters (period or comma)
You can also convert your file to a different CSV file format (Menu: Edit > Convert).
Download Quick CSV today if you are looking for a simple and efficient solution to manage your CSV files.
Ratings and Reviews
See AllVery useful, lightwweight tool
I'm always working with CSV file output in my data analysis work. I often use Excel in my work, but it is very slow to load files. This makes it easy to quickly load and copy/paste CSV files in my workflow.
Only possible improvement I'd suggest is that it's only possible to select entire rows or entire columns (to my knowledge). An ability to make rectangular selections would be helpful.
Pretty much just TableTool, Keyboard nav is awkward
If you look up TableTool, an open source app available here on the app store, you'll find this app's doppelganger.
Unfortunately they're both a little janky—if you were hoping for a lightweight CSV app so that you could fly through data with the arrow keys, this isn't for you. I'm not sure how best to explain it except that it focuses on the row/column rather than the individual cell. You can tab around once you're in "edit" mode in a row, but no arrow keys. If I were editing an open source app and charging 99 cents for it that's exactly the QOL feature I would add, personally.
My fault for not looking more closely, but I wouldn't recommend either app, much as I'd love to have something I can use that isn't as slow as Numbers or the web for this stuff.
Very handy
Cheaper than MS Office, way easier to work w than Numbers. Well worth the price of admission.
