Ratings and Reviews
See AllNot Paintbrush and Strange to use
I downloaded this app thinking it was the paintbrush app I had on my old mac. It even looks the same, but it does not operate quite the same. Most notably, the text doesn't preview onto the screen to show where it is. I coulldn't figure out an easy way to see where it is and/or move it. After frustration and finding that preview built in on Mac does what I want, I uninstalled this the same day. Side note: I couldn't find any tutorials on how to use the features bettter. I kept being sent to the reviews here. I bet this might be a nice app if you know how it is meant to be used. I recommend the developers consider creating video tutorials.
Needs An Update
I really liked this app for doing simple edits of bitmap graphics. However, with the last couple upgrades/updates to Sierra and then High Sierra, it stopped working well. What it now does is open and let me edit a single graphic. After that it won’t open another or let me create a new one from the clipboard. I have to exit and restart the app between each graphic. That is not at all convenient. Mostly I’ve stopped using it and am doing my graphics on a Linux box running ChaletOS.
Was useful, became useless with update
I used to use this as a substitute for MS paint - and, despite some glitches, it did the job well. However, the new update completely changed the layout (annoying) and, much more importantly, removed the ability to create shapes - so I can't even draw a square or circle (or even a line, for that matter). This completely defeats the original purpose of the app.
Developer Response ,
Because the features of the old version are too simple, we've added some useful features to the new version, and if you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch with us. We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience.
