Description

Optimized for macOS 14 Sonoma

CryptoEdit is a simple, powerful, and secure application for creating and editing encrypted documents.

It is the ideal solution for managing personal documents with sensitive information. The application supports TEXT, RTF, and RTFD (RTF with images) files.

How it Works:

CryptoEdit allows you to edit documents like a standard word processor, with the ability to mix text and images, assign font and color, and use rulers to format and adjust text and images. The difference is that all documents are saved encrypted and password protected, ensuring the confidentiality of your content.

Features:

Stable and well-developed

Ability to generate secure distributable documents

Exactly what I wanted

I do automated backups, lots of them. I wanted a journal/diary program that only ever writes encrypted files. CryptoEdit2 is it.

I have a script that invokes aes-256-cbc encryption, but there always exists a period where the file exists in unencrypted form. It sometimes gets picked up by during the backup. Yes, there are ways to avoid that but all of them make the process more complex than it needs to be.

Enter CryptoEdit.

Plus: I submitted the bug that resulted in version 2.0.1. I got an answer from Roberto within the hour, and notification that the fix had been sent to Apple soon after that.

The bug is fixed, I am very happy! Thanks!
