The description says “Play the addictive 2048, with smooth animations, fast gameplay & no ads.” Except there are ads that you have to pay $0.99 to remove. Deceivers shouldn’t be supported; there are plenty of other versions if we’re willing to accept ads.

When two tiles with the same value bump into each other, they merge. To move the tiles on the 4x4 grid, use the arrow keys on your keyboard.
Scoring works by adding up the numbers in the merged tiles. So if you combine two tiles with a value of 4, therell be 8 points added to your score. Lets look at some examples below:
2x2 tiles = 2 points
2x4 tiles + 2x2 tiles = 12 points
32x2 tiles = 64 points
16x2 + 4x2 + 2x2 = 44 points
Theoretically, the highest score is 131.072, though no one has ever gotten to that score alone. The theoretical possibility was discovered by Todd W. Neller of Gettysburg College in his paper on the Pedagogical Possibilities for the 2048 Puzzle Game.

There are ads
Just like the iOS version...
I like this app on my iOS devices and having it on the Mac is fun as well. The only downside is the fact that the window isnt scaleable. It would be nice if we could drag the window size larger. Other than that, if you enjoy the iOS versions of this game, no reason not to get this one. Using the arrow keys on a wired keyboard make for quick, simple gameplay.
Can’t get rid of it!
So I downloaded the free versoin which expires quickly and asks you to buy the other version. When I try to get rid of it on app cleaner it never goes away! It is so frustrating! I liked it at first but now it is nothing but a bothersome annoyance.
Addictive
It has taken me quite a few games just to catch onto the strategy, and it will take a lot more to control it, if ever..This game will keep you interested and coming back because you’re certain you can do better the next time, well maybe the next time, well maybe-- ad infinitum...
Challenging
Good game to challeenge yourself to do better than the last, and something quick you can play if you don’t have a lot of time. Haven’t gotten through my 200 free, but will purchase.
