The Pocket Planner allows you to "sack your financial planner" and calculate your needs for many financial areas.
You can calculate how much you need to save for retirement, how long it will take for you to pay off your mortgage, how much insurance you will need to protect your family and more. All fields can be customised to allow for changes in interest rates, rates of return, different savings rates and so on.
You can see what difference it would make if you were paying an extra $100 per month off your mortgage or putting an extra $100 per month into your savings.
You may choose to "sack your financial planner" and "DIY" with your investments and insurances, or you may simply save time and money on doing the calculations first yourself, and then allowing your planner to apply for insurances and investments, using the strategies that you just came up with!
