If your children love letters and the alphabet song, they will love this game. The game consists of matching lower case letters to their capital letters. The letters announce their sound when revealed and there is also a fun animation and sound made when the match occurs. Once all the matches are made you get treated to a sweet version of the alphabet song, that plays continuously until your preschoolers decide to replay the game, so they can sing along for as long as they like. Special care is taken to make the game’s interface extremely simple and avoid adding options and menus that would catch your child’s attention and diminish the educational quality of the game. The Game will open in full screen mode and hide all menus and the dock, so your child can only play the game and cannot exit it until you decide so. Both right click and left click will work the same within the game, so your child will not be frustrated by clicking on the wrong side of the mouse. If you are learning English this is also a great way to learn correct English spelling. Aa match is made in the UK so expect a slight british accent. The current version uses the American pronunciation of the letter Z. An update with the option of using the British version (Zed instead of Zee) will be available within 2 weeks, due to popular demand. There are two versions of this game on the iOS App Store, an iPhone/iPod touch version and a HD iPad version (Universal).

Ça marche, mais cest uniquement en anglais... Alors pour nos enfants, surtout ceux qui sont en train dapprendre le français, .... faut-il leur apprendre lalphabet en anglais? A quand la version française??

für den deutschen/europäischen markt sollte man auch die sprache umstellen können, dann gäbe es auch mehr punkte.

Meinen Kindern (3 und 5 J.) hat das Spiel schon auf Englisch viel Spaß gemacht. Papa dachte jedoch, dass das Programm im Moment doch noch mehr Sinn auf Deutsch machen würde - erstmal die Basics lernen bevor in fremden Zungen gesprochen wird. Das Spiel bietet leider von sich aus keine Möglichkeit auf deutsche Aussprache der Buchstaben umzustellen. Mit ein bisschen Mut zum Do-It-Yourself kann man jedoch recht einfach die Tondateien im installierten Programmpaket austauchen: 1) Eine Sicherungskopie des Spiels machen kann nicht schaden -> Programmsymbol bei gehaltener "alt"-Taste auf den Desktop ziehen 2) Rechtsklick auf Programmicon im Programme-Ordner -> Auswahl "Paketinhalt zeigen" 3) Navigieren zum Ordner Contents/Resources 4) Ersetzen der Datein "a.aif", "b.aif", "c.aif", … , "z.aif" durch selbst (oder von der Mami) eingesprochene Dateien. Die Tondateien lassen sich einfach mit einem Tool zum Aufnehmen von Sounds erstellen, einfach mal im App Store nach "record audio" suchen. Ich habe dazu (in einem Programm welches den Namen eines nicht unbekannten, österreichischen Komponisten trägt) das komplette Alphabet eingesprochen und nachher in Einzelbuchstaben zerlegt - Betonung und Lautstärke der Aussprache war so wesentlich besser als bei einzeln eingesprochenen Buchstaben. Viel Spaß

Here in Canada, we mostly say Zed instead of Zee for the letter Z and Ahch instead of Haych for H. Would be great to have an option to switch the pronunciations of those letters and maybe others. Cheers and thanks.

This is best learning material for kids. I like it.
