Description
Abfahrt.AR is the simplest way to check public transport departures: open the app, look through the camera, see the next departures. The stops in the direction you are facing appear as cards floating over the camera picture, sorted by distance, with line, destination and departure in minutes. Real-time data wherever the transit authority provides it, all over Germany.
"AR" stands for augmented reality: compass and tilt sensor place the cards at the right spot in the picture. Turn around, and the cards move with you.
WHAT THE APP DOES
● Camera view: stops in your line of sight with their next departures, up to 1.2 km away, layered by distance. Tap a card to open the departure sheet.
● Departure sheet: departure board of the stop with real-time data, a Street View picture of the surroundings and a "Show on map" button.
● Map: the radar button opens the map facing your direction. Stops appear as bubbles with their next departures, a tap opens the sheet, the compass button turns the map north.
● Favourites: save stops and addresses with an icon and a colour. In the camera view, tapping a favourite shows the connection from where you are and highlights the stop to board at.
● Blow: blow into the microphone until the screen fogs up, then draw a circle with your finger to pick a later departure time. Nothing is recorded.
● No account, no ads, no tracking. Dark mode follows your system setting.
DATA
Stops and departures come from the mobility service of PROJEKTIONISTEN GmbH, based on open timetable and real-time data (DELFI). Base map based on OpenStreetMap. Street View pictures by Google. Favourites are stored on your device only.
PERMISSIONS
Camera for the picture behind the cards, location for the stops around you, motion sensors for placing the cards in the picture, microphone only for blowing. Picture, sound and sensor readings never leave the device.

SUBSCRIPTION AND ONE-OFF PURCHASE
Three saved stops are free, and each day the route to one of them. Beyond that: a day pass (0.99 €, valid until midnight of the day of purchase), a subscription (0.99 € per month or 7.99 € per year) or a one-off purchase for 19.99 €. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; payment is charged to your Apple account. You can manage and cancel it at any time in your App Store account settings. A tip unlocks nothing.

Version History

Support Abfahrt.AR: If you want more than three favourites, or to be guided to several of them each day, you can now unlock the app — with a day pass, a subscription, or once and for all. The app stays free of ads. A tip is still just a thank you and unlocks nothing.
Also new:
- If the stop where your connection starts is too far away for the camera view, you now get "Extend range". One tap brings that stop into view.
- On the map, the button for north or heading is back directly below the header.
- The house typeface shows everywhere again, including in the stop search.
- Notices above the favourites bar no longer cover the buttons below them.
- If a purchase fails, the app now says so instead of doing nothing.
