The Payment Pebble™ is a mobile point-of-sale (mPOS) payment solution that securely processes credit and debit card transactions using the physical Payment Pebble device connected to your mobile phone via the 3.5mm audio jack. The Payment Pebble App from Absa along with the Payment Pebble device allows you to receive payments anywhere and at anytime at your convenience!
The Payment Pebble App has been designed with you in mind – screens are customised for the optimal experience on your device.
Please note that you need to apply for a Merchant Account with Absa Bank in order to obtain the Payment Pebble.

• Full-colour OLED screen display
• Backlight to improve visibility in various lighting conditions
• An extended battery to support backlight and still provide 40 transactions when fully charged
• Gorilla glass for Payment Pebble™ screen protection.

• Unique transaction reference function for easy reconciliation on a daily statement
• Ability to provide a digital receipt to cardholders via email and/or SMS at no cost

Its such a pity that there isnt an option for traditional pin entry. The method chosen to enter PIN numbers is to scroll a wheel one masked digit at a time, with a scroll wheel that only increments 1 unit per full swipe. An American Express card with a pin of 77684 would take 32 swipes & 5 taps to enter! As a computer scientist, this entry method makes no sense & possibly much easier for someone to work out your PIN number by counting swipes.
