Description
The ABYC Wire Sizer app easily calculates minimum conductor size for boats based on the parameters you enter. American Wire Gauge (AWG) results are based on ABYC requirements and the metric (mm2) results are based on ISO requirements.
The app calculates the minimum wire size using voltage drop requirements (either 10% or 3% depending on your application), conductor max ampacity, insulation temperature rating, conductor bundling and more.
This app can be used for DC wiring (12V, 24V & 32V) as well as AC wiring (120V, 240V, & 230V).
This app is designed by ABYC and is the only app specifically designed to meet the wire sizing requirements found in E-11, AC & DC Electrical Systems on Boats.
The purchase of this app helps to support the non-profit American Boat and Yacht Council whose mission is to be the essential source of technical information for the international marine industry. We will continue to develop product safety standards, credentialing, education, training, and other tools to equip our members to be successful.
