Description

Actionbound is an app for playing digital scavenger hunts by means of installing digital content in the physical world. The content is filled in by the users on the website actionbound.com making actual surroundings a backdrop for the game. We call these interactive mobile rallies “Bounds”, essentially a collection of diverse tasks, e.g., taking pictures, dancing, playing a game etc., linked to a specific location. The program quite literally augments our reality by enhancing peoples’ real-life interaction whilst using their smart phones and tablets. Apart from the altruistic goal of helping people to discover “their environment by learning more about its history, politics and culture”, the free app is payable for corporate clients, who can use Actionbound for team-building events and the likes. Actionbound is an interactive app-based game approach for smart phones and tablets: Players are invited to accomplish tasks, which can be defined through the so-called Bound-Creator on the website actionbound.com, in order to playfully discover their environment by learning more about its history, politics and culture. In contrast to a geo-cache or a scavenger hunt Actionbound requires the players to create their own content.

in der bildungsarbeit rallyes erstellen, die kompatibel und gut nutzbar bereitgestellt werden können, an alles gedacht, einfach zu bedienen, ich bin begeistert von diesem tollen angebot!

Also am Anfang war ich ja schon ein bisschen skeptisch als mir ein Freund von der App. erzählt hat aber dann hat es uns richtig Spaß gemacht. Bei unserem Betriebsausflug im April in der Hauptstadt sind wir sind wir jeden Tag in nem anderen Stadtbezirk unterwegs gewesen und Actionbound war auch mit dabei. Ich finde es einfach toll, dass es Bock wegen der Spiele und Rätsel macht aber man gleichzeitig noch interessante Infos kriegt. Kann man echt nur weiterempfehlen ... Ich wusste gar nicht, dass es so was gibt. Echt geil vielen Dank für die App. und Grüße aus München Euer Paul
