ActivateINK uses image recognition to unlock digital content using your mobile device. Examples are videos, animations and audio clips. ActivateINK serves up stories about places, attractions, non-profits, businesses and events – some fun, some serious, some never told. Any printed piece such as a poster, a company logo, a photo in a magazine, or a painting in a museum, can be a trigger. Look for the ActivateINK mark. That’s how you know an image comes to life. Simply open the app’s viewfinder (bottom-center menu button) and hold it over the image. An animated overlay changes when the video has tracked the target image. When locked on, the content will go full screen in 4 seconds. In addition to "unlocking" and launching short video segments or animations, tapping the screen also redirects you to additional web content and/or exclusive offers (some only available when youve unlocked the image). New images and content are automatically updated and added on a regular basis.
