With the general acceptance that powerpoint is both boring and ineffective, Petoni Mahi have embraced mind mapping and iPads to deliver an electronic learning experience that integrates course theory with games, exercises and scenario based assessments to achieve a “stickier” transfer of knowledge.
Students learning is guided by the visual learning framework of structured mind maps installed on their iPad. During the class they are encouraged to personalise their learning by adding photos of the learning exercises and games, as well as adding their own notes within the context of the teachers formal class material.
At the end of the class students can export an electronic copy of the mind map with all their personal notes as a PDF document for later independent revision.
No more killing trees to create printed manuals or handouts - the teacher simply airdrops the mind map, including all the class notes to the students ipad and the class can begin.
