Im taking a sign language college course and have been looking for an app to assist me with sign language. My only wish is that it also covered at least the signs for common words also. That would make this app perfect!

Description
This interactive reference tool enables the user to actually orbit the signs thus allowing a 3D view of the hand for a more comprehensive understanding of the sign language.
As opposed to the classic learning method, where the learner only sees a graphic and flat view of the hand, this application allows the viewer to orbit around the hand, thus enabling them to better understand the sign.
Click on an individual letter to see the visual and verbal demonstration, OR choose the "ABC" button situated at the bottom of the screen to watch the hand animate the entire alphabet accompanied by audio.

Great App for alphabet
It Stops Short.
I like the 3-D nature. I like the rotation to see all sides. Unfortunately the arrow keys dont turn it, I have to use my right hand to rotate the on-screen hand. Worse yet, I have to hold it there. Now I cant try to mimic the sign because my right hand is holding the rotation. Additionally, the signs seem to come from which ever hand was handy. Doesnt seem consistent. It cant be simply to show it better because if the rotation could be parked, I could see it all the way around. The layout of the alphabet buttons feels awkward as the time is counting down. I also wish that it included phrases that I need to know in conversation. The quiz is lacking and doesnt motivate me to want to purchase the game. Since this is ASL, and not just sign language, it should consider adding a face or body for the actions that are also a vital part of ASL. (I have taken some lessons years ago and I do remember that much about ASL.) So, good start. Visually better than the usual 2-D drawings of a hand. Keep at it and perhaps a few upgrades from now, I wont be able to contain my excitement.
