Great. Very intuitive. User friendly. Well researched. Recommended for any tourist, explorer or even just a proud Jordanian lie myself.

Amazing app, very useful as I spend a lot of time out of Amman. I also have both books, I love ur work, youve done a great job! But I should tell u that the app is sometimes slow, and it freezes up quite a bit, I exit the app and restart it. Hope u fix this soon, as I really enjoy this app! Ya3teekum al3afia!

A useful app for most people

I am an American who has never been to the Middle East. My step-father is an Egyptologist, and I have an interest in the Middle East. I am interested in nature ,especially birds. I think this is a good general app. It is well organized and indexed. The sections on birds and mammals are probably the best developed. If you want to identify invertebrates such as insects by species, this app may be too general for you. However, many varieties are described. A few freshwater fish species are described, but there are apparently not many in Jordan. Saltwater fishes are not described, so dont get this app for them. Amphibians and reptiles seem to be fairly well described. The information given on all creatures is limited, but there is a link to Wikipedia or Google. The photos of all creatures are excellent and take advantage of the IPad capabilities. If you are really into identifying birds, this app has limitations. Field markings are not well described, and may not show in the photos. The photos are very good though. There are no range maps, but there is a verbal description. This may be adequate for a small country. A general map of Jordan is included. There is a lot of information on animal tracks. If you are into tracking, you may appreciate this app. There is a slide show button, which is nice. This app also has information on domestic animal varieties and local dog breeds if that is of interest to you. On the whole, a good app for the nature of an area which may be under served.
