Great resource ages middle school thru adult. Middle school sons find easy to use as well as parents. Readable Bible version. Balanced commentary. Easy to understand explanations and extras. Interesting details of archeologic finds in support of Bible accounts. Runs well on iPhone. Worth the cost!
A great tool for personal study
I have this Bible in actual book form, so when I saw that the complete Bible was in app format, it made my day. This is a great resource. You have the complete text of the Apologetic Study Bible for Students, including articles, notes, and special features, but even more than that, you have a fully customizable interface (from color to font to font size - the depth of customization is very impressive) that makes this application unique to suit your visual preferences. You can have just one window open or two, one the Bible and the other the notes/articles/features, and can access specific articles and features on the fly. You can bookmark and copy verses, but even cooler is the completely customizable highlighting system and note-taking system with Evernote backup. I personally prefer the adult Apologetics Study Bible more that this one because it suits my intellectual level more than this one, but this Bible is a must for any student in this relativistic, "do what you want - its all the same" society. Though a bit on the steep side in price, it is well worth it.
My Favorite Bible
I am so glad that what I have been using and recommending to students for the past two years is now available on my iPhone. It is working as advertised. The splash page takes too long to show its branding. Now that I have bought the Bible, I want to get to the text quickly. I dont need to be reminded who I bought it from or that it is for thinking people. However, once IN the app, the look-up function is very fast. Regarding the notes from the Study Bible portion of the app: it appears to break words with a hyphen as they appear in the printed version of the Bible. On an iPhone, these occur at the beginning or middle of a line instead of at the end of a line (sometimes). None of these minor issues stop me from rating it as my favorite eBible at this point.
Awesome Bible, Useless App
Need to fix bugs. App doesnt utilize the full iPhone screen. You can see about a 1/4" on the top and bottom of space. If you go to settings after some changes or customized app it freezes up if not the done tab on settings is blended in with your bar on the top that shows your carrier, clock and battery life making it impossible to close settings. Couldnt customize app. Terrible. Just buy the Bible more money but reliable
