Description
《新华字典》是中国第一本按汉语拼音音序排列的小型字典。1953年新华辞书社编,主编者为语言文字学家魏建功(1901～1980)。1953年由人民教育出版社印行第一版，按注音字母顺序排列；以后续有修订，改用汉语拼音字母顺序，转由商务印书馆重排出版。《新华字典》是新中国成立后出版的第一部以白话释义、用白话举例的字典，也是迄今最有影响、最权威的一部小型汉语字典，堪称小型汉语语文辞书的典范。
《新华字典》第十一版已于2011年7月出版发行。在最新版本的《新华字典》中，新增了800多个正字头，另外，还增加了1500多个繁体字和500多个异体字。
