남가주 서머나 교회는 개혁주의 교리를 바탕으로 ‘오직 말씀’과 ‘오직 은혜’라는 모토 아래 왜곡되어져 가는 기독교의 본질로의 회귀를 제일 목표로 삼고 있습니다.
사람의 귀를 즐겁게 하는 말씀과 사람의 비위를 맞추는 프로그램과 교제를 지양하고 하나님의 영광을 위하고 하나님을 즐거워하는 예배와 예배의 삶을 지향합니다.
남가주 서머나 교회는 웨스트민스터 신앙고백과 하이델베르그 교리문답, 그리고 벨직 고백서등의 신앙고백을 우리의 신앙고백으로 믿고 받아들입니다.
