Description
刘鹗的小说《老残游记》是晚清的四大谴责小说之一。全书共20回,光绪二十九年(1903)发表于《绣像小说》半月刊上,到13回因故中止,后重载于《天津日日新闻》,始全。原署鸿都百炼生著。作者在小说的自叙里说:“棋局已残,吾人将老,欲不哭泣也得乎?”小说是作者对“棋局已残”的封建末世及人民深重的苦难遭遇的哭泣。小说写一个被人称做老残的江湖医生铁英在游历中的见闻和作为。
