Access award-winning journalism from the Mainichi Shimbun, one of the major newspapers in Japan, published by The Mainichi Newspapers. "The Mainichi Viewer" app enables users to view pages of publications of the Mainichi Newspapers as they appear in the paper’s printed editions. The Mainichi Viewer Features: -Viewer can read the Mainichi Shimbun’s Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Nagoya and Hokkaido editions. Also available are: Morning and evening editions for the past six days Nationwide local editions Extra editions Sunday editions -Also can read the Mainichi publications according to your subscription status. -Data can be downloaded to view offline at any time. -To get unlimited access to the Mainichi Viewer app, you will need to subscribe the service and register a Mainichi ID for free. -Subscriptions and a registration are not available directly through this app.

細かい配慮があれば格段に良くなる

紙面をめくったときの感触とかがとても軽く、新聞閲覧としては決定版のようなアプリです。ただ毎日起動する気になれないのがちょっと残念。細かいことですが下記の機能改善を望みます。1)起動時の画面をホームか最新の紙面の1面のどちらかで選べるようにして欲しい 2) WiFi接続時に最新号を自動ダウンロードする機能が欲しい。 読み始めたらまだダウンロード中、というのは読む気をなくします。また慌てて飛び乗った飛行機の機内でゆったりと読もうと思ったら、紙面がダウンロードされてなくてがっかり、というケースが多いです。使いやすいアプリだけに残念。

朝、定期購読している新聞を読む時間はなかなかとれないが、通勤電車の中、iPhoneで見られる、また発行本社を選べる点も嬉しい。 あとは地域面も自分の地域で固定設定可能となれば神アプリだと思います。

ヘルプの基本操作に書いてあるようにやっても、スクラップのアイコンが出てこなくて、記事をスクラップ出来ない。19日の東京朝刊。

以前から毎日新聞を購読しておりましたが、iPadを購入してからはもっぱら電子書籍中心になり、紙面を読む事が少なくなっており、正直折り込みチラシの為に購入している状態でした。 このアプリのおかげでダウンロードして、いつでも紙面を読む事が出来るようになり感謝です。 当方、朝刊のみの契約なのに、このアプリで夕刊も読む事ができるのでアップデートされてもこのまま現状維持で御願いしたいです。 改めて毎日新聞社に感謝です！
