Dontnod Entertainment制作的勿忘我游戏设定在近未来2084年的巴黎，在游戏中人类的记忆可以在黑市中出售和购买，游戏的主要角色是一名女性。在游戏世界中，人类全部被灌输到一个感知系统（Sen-Sen）中，一个可以捕获记忆并且可以自由在线交换和交易的系统，制造Sen-Sen感知系统的公司称之为Memoryeyes，这个公司控制整个世界记忆的流通。将整个世界的信息流通控制在手中。而游戏女主角则以渗透人类记忆，并通过记忆了解他的过去。知道过去的她是怎样的一个形象。
