Description

••• Plants that Can for those who think they Cant! ••• Gardening is not brain surgery or rocket science - and if I have learned one thing, it is that gardening should never be taken seriously. So have fun. There are no rules. You may search all plants or use the filter to search for annuals, perennials, those grown in sun or shade, or those grown for foliage or flowers. Scroll through any plant for useful information, or swipe through hundreds of photos. Add plants to your list of favorites, and email some of these to your friends or spouse so they will buy you the plant you actually lust for. For even more excitement, I have included videos where not only do I make a fool of myself, but I may even teach you a few hints. Have fun! ••• About the Author ••• World renowned plantsman lecturer and author. He has traveled to gardens throughout Europe, South Africa, New Zealand, Japan, Australia, Canada, the Channel Islands, and South America. He has appeared in International Horticulture conferences in Portugal, Toronto, and Norway, chatted with Martha on the Martha Stewart Show, and consulted with growers and nurseries around the globe. He has earned Professor Emeritus status within the Department of Horticulture at the University of Georgia. He has published 13 books and hundreds of trade journal articles for the horticulture industry, produced dozens of videos about plants for the gardener, and is the author of an online course for the public. Native of Montreal, Canada, Dr. Armitage plays a mean guitar and enjoys hiking, skiing, and his weekly brutal games of squash and tennis. He loves his wife, kids, and grandkids.

Since the most recent iOS update this app has lost all content. Links are available, but information has disappeared.

This has the potential to be a very valuable app. I would suggest a search option so that people can search information specific to a plant they might be looking at purchasing. I was also hoping that Canada would be included, since the author is originally from here. This is USA specific. Currently it isnt really worth the purchase price. But hopefully it can be made more useful. I would also recommend the ability to search for plants by USDA zone that you live in.

Outstanding!

This is the app gardeners and flower/garden lovers have been waiting for. Even though this is the first release - it is an excellent, polished product. Thank you Dr. Armitage.

Excellent App

The pictures alone are worth purchasing this app. It is written and formatted in a manner that allows a casual gardener to use the app easily. The maps really help with information. It is nice to have an expert pass his knowledge along to amateur gargeners.

I highly recommend this app to the avid Gardner as well as the aspiring horticulturist. It provides illustrative images, unusual perennial plants, as well as advice from "The Doc" himself, Allan Armitage. Its a must have for anyone at all interested in plants!

Excellent app!

This app is so useful and easy for anyone to use. It is great for beginner horticulturalists and master gardeners. The best part about the app is that it has all the information on any perennial you could ever think of, but it also provides locations of botanical gardens where you can find the beautiful perennials.
