Description

Color your world. Artful brings the worlds best art to your desktop. Artful sets your desktop wallpaper to a random work of public domain art. From impressionism to rococo to cubism, there are over 68,000 pieces in our collection. You are the curator. Pick the types of art you want displayed, and Artful will do the rest. Filter by artist, genre, style, technique, or medium. It changes the art as often as you like, or only when you want it changed. All of the art is stored online, so Artful takes up very little space on your computer. Multi-monitor support: As of v1.1.2, Artful has a setting to display different art on each connected monitor. Experience new art on each screen you see! SmartArtDisplay: The SmartArtDisplay mode intelligently scales each work of art to fit the center of the screen against a background that perfectly complements the colors of the work. Social sharing: The Artful menu now includes options to send a link to the currently-displayed work via the default mail client, or to post the work to Facebook, Twitter, or Pinterest.

Décevant donc déçu

Ce n’est qu’un fond d’écran qui se substitue au fond d’écran Apple. 1 - Cher pour un catalogue d’œuvres appartenant déjà domaine public, formats inadaptés aux écrans, donc tronquages inadéquats. 2 - Manque une affectation à un ou plusieurs bureau, comme pour les fonds d’écran. Pourquoi ne pas l’intégrer aux fonds Apple ? 3 - Il crashe (disparaît de la barre des tâches et du moniteur d’activité) sans rétablir les fonds d’écrans du système OSX.

Un défilé de fonds d’écran très variés sur un arrière plan en sfumato... Accompagne les moments de réflexion ou l’écoute de musique, on ne s’en lasse pas. Félicitation à ceux qui ont eu cette idée. Si vous aimez la peinture et/ou l’art graphique, n’hésitez pas !

Very nice way to get your desktop wallpapaer changed with nice art - but ...

there is always a “but” :-) I wish I could mark pictures as favourites and get them permanently saved instead of just having the picture currently shown somewhere hidden on my disk. additionally a tool / link to get more information about the picture would be nice, just like “Artkick” is doing it on the iphone. But apart from that: great, thanks a lot!

This app is a super fun way to display art and learn more about it. The update with the blurry background is really nice. Displaying the name of the painter and title of the painting somewhere in that blurry part who make it even better.

I’ve grown to be a big fan of Artful. Educational, elegant and entertaining. It’s an art gallery in my home! This is a thoughtful App. You’ll learn about art history, painters and styles in this well designed application. The developers are committed to upgrfading their product. Highly recommended.
