Requena es un municipio con un abundante patrimonio histórico, natural y etnográfico. Cuenta con tres barrios históricos, uno de ellos, el de la Villa, declarado ya en 1966 Conjunto Histórico-Artístico y en el que se enclavan las Iglesias de Santa María y El Salvador, monumentos histórico-artísticos nacionales desde 1931. Parte de su bello y extenso término municipal se integra dentro del Parque Natural de las Hoces del Cabriel.
