Description

The Austrian Map mobile (AMap mobile) contains the digital maps of Austria including hill shading, the object area names from the Digital Landscape Model (DLM) and the Digital Elevation Model (DGM). This product of the Federal Office of Metrology and Surveying (BEV) offers not only the high quality topographic maps but also a user-friendly interface with extensive functionality. Available maps and data: - Overview map 1:1 million - Cartographic model 1:500 000 - Cartographic model 1:250 000 - Cartographic model 1:50 000 All map data of AMap mobile are available free of charge and are stored locally on the respective smartphone or tablet (offline use possible). Functions of Austrian Map mobile: - Search by place name or search by coordinates - GPS functions: Display of location, "moving map", compass support, routing along tracks - Insert, edit and share POIs (Points of Interest) - Recording and sending tracks - Information about the map sheets displayed - Measuring distances and areas Continued use of GPS running in the background can decrease battery life.

Nützlich mit Einschränkungen

Die App ist grundsätzlich gelungen und stellt eine wirklich brauchbare Alternative zu Papierkarten dar obwohl das UI nicht sonderlich intuitiv ist. Der mit Abstand größte Mangel und völlig unerklärlich ist das Fehlen eines Maßstabsbalkens zur Entfernungsschätzung. Er gehört unauffällig und dauerhaft eingeblendet ins Kartenbild. Darstellung und Verwaltung von GPS-Tracks sind verbesserungswürdig. So wäre die Einstellbarkeit der Liniendicke von Vorteil. Beim Zoomen fehlt eine Option, den gewählten Kartenmaßstab beizubehalten. Die Sprünge in andere Kartenbilder irritieren, wenn man sich nur eben einen Überblick über das Gelände verschaffen will. Die Stecknadeln für POIs sind zu klein und die Verwaltung solcher Punkte recht holprig. Deren Setzung ließe sich sicher auch durch langes Drücken an beliebiger Stelle über ein Kontextmenü realisieren, statt dazu das Kartenbild unter den Bildschirmmittelpunkt zu verschieben – das ist Stand 2000. Ottime, come sempre

App davvero ben fatta, ottima la qualità della mappa, molto funzionale la possibilità di acquistare una intera zona ( come nelle classiche mappe cartacee) oppure anche solo dei "tiles" ( come le tessere di un mosaico) delle zone di interesse. È anche possibile acquistare un credito di tiles, in modo che quando si va a guardare una zona di cui non abbiamo la mappa, automaticamente vengono scaricati i tiles di quella zona, scalandoli dal credito. Proprio in questa funzione risiede il difetto riscontrato, non un bug, proprio un difetto di progettazione: se si scorre inavvertitamente la mappa uscendo dalla zona acquistata, lapp automaticamente scarica i tiles, bruciandomi assai velocemente il credito, e non cè modo di disabilitare il download, se non disattivando la connessione dalle preferenze dellipad. Spero quanto prima venga risolto il problema, o almeno venga messo un messaggio di avviso con possibilità di non autorizzare il download e la conseguente erosione del credito. Altro piccolo difetto: manca la legenda.
