"I love this app. Very easy to use, I love that it has video clips instead of pictures. The customizable favorite list is perfect." -Heather

BENEFITS TO YOUR BABY

→ Signing enhances language skills: On average babies who learned to sign know 50 more words by the age of two than babies who never learned sign.

→ Signing gives a window into your child’s mind and personality. Slow down and see how he interprets the world well before he can speak.

→ Signing increases your baby’s IQ by an average of 12 points. (Source: Acredolo & Goodwyn)

→ Signing increases your baby’s self-esteem by letting her communicate her needs in ways other than crying.

→ Signing with your child builds mutual trust and enhances the bond between you.

With over 200 words, Baby Sign includes everything a baby is likely to see, experience and feel. Categories include feelings, people, bedtime-dressing and food-kitchen among many others.

Signs can be sorted alphabetically or by category. You can choose favorites, search for signs and test your knowledge in quiz mode.

Quiz broken

Tried the free version before trying the full version. But the quiz doesnt work properly, on some questions the correct answer is not one of the options. Then there is no way to continue with the quiz. Just as a word dictionary it is vey nice.

Poor

Very small vocabulary of signs. Maybe 10 that are useful at most. Good idea but not helpful

Perfect!

Works exactly as I hoped. I learned a lot!

Baffled

I downloaded the free version to see if I liked this app before I downloaded the paid version. I looked at the signs and am completely confused: purple, number 8, alligator??how are these signs useful when youre just beginning sign language with a child? I realize the paid version would likely have more of the signs I need to start (hurt? Eat?), but Im so irritated Im thinking Ill pass. Wouldnt it be more constructive to give some of the first useful signs in your free version in order to get your users "hooked" so that theyd want to buy more?

Food??

Like others, I am very disappointed in this lite app. Im looking for the very basics. Would it have killed you to give us more generic - and dare I ask - healthy food options than "bacon" and "ice cream"? How about simply "food"?

not useful

I downloaded this to get a useful sign to see if I could teach it to my baby before buying the full version. I figured there might be a few useful words to start with. Instead, there were all inane words that I would not need to use in "conversation" with my baby for a while. Completely useless!

Stinks

They give you absolutely no useful signs in this lite app. Clearly the goal is to make you pay for the real app. But why not throw us a bone like eat, sleep or one or two useful words? Alligator and bacon are not likely to whet my babysigning appetite! Think it through people! This just makes me annoyed and over it.
