Description

Basic GPS is an application for iPhone that provides simple location data. It is an ideal companion for outdoor activities, such as hiking, running, biking, sailing, kayaking and many more. The screen displays the latitude, longitude or any of the selected grid system, position error, course, altitude, altitude error, time of last update. The app is delivered with WGS84 datum and the ability to display your location in the Geodetic (latitude/longitude), MGRS, UTM/UPS coordinate systems. Purchasing the single in app purchase gives you 230 additional datums and the National Grid, GeoRef, MGA, NZMG, NZTM2000, British National Grid, Swiss Grid, Greek Grid, Singapore TM coordinate systems. Popular datums included with the in app purchase are NAD27, NAD83, ED50, OSGB36, EGSA87, CH1903, AGD66, AGD84, GDA94, NZGD1949, NZGD2000, SVY21 and a lot more. The application has a build-in map to show you the current location, and you can share your location with your friends through the email. This version of the software was designed for the iPhone 3GS and later as well as all cellular capable iPads. Warning: This software is not designed for use in any activity that may cause any type of injury or property loss and should not be used in such activities. Location services will use the cellular network to determine your position. Charges may apply. Continued use of GPS in the background will dramatically reduce the battery life of your device.

Works exactly as shown and documented by the developer. Easy to use and have had no issues. Cant find a single thing to complain about.

Nice bells-n-whistles to this GPS app. The email feature is nice and pulling up the google map is definately a great feature. Very handy tool and extremely useful to send locations to friends.

The simple no clutter interface is great. Getting raw GPS info is great and really works nice with something Im working on out in the field. I really like being able to send the data Ive collected to e-mails as well. The stability (as one user pointed out) is key. Ive had similar apps installed but they were flakey and prone to crashing - this one is solid. BUY THIS APP - it wont disappoint!

Does what it says, the updates have been nice additions. UTM coordinates and the ability to work without cell signal were why I purchased. Works great.

Does not connect to location or show any grids would like my money back or figure out a way to fix it

I am a staff sergeant in the army and this rocks with MGRS. 5 stars if maps become imbedded so you dont close app everytime. Perfect for .99!

Is the only paid app Ive bought so far an was worth it. Simple is the key! Great for large jobsite.
